Laser Therapy
There are so many possible applications for laser therapy in animals.
From ear infections to joint pain to hot spots and skin disorders, the use of cold laser therapy can make a world of difference. Laser therapy treatments include: chronic arthritis, hip dysplasia, cystitis (cats), chronic skin problems, and large wounds with granulation tissue. In addition, all surgical incisions are treated with laser therapy at Hunters Glen Veterinary Hospital.
Acupuncture
Dr. Carley has been practicing veterinary acupuncture at Hunters Glen for over 20 years. Acupuncture has been a treatment modality for over 3500 years. It is an important part of Traditional Chinese medicine. It has experienced a surge in popularity over the last 5-10 years as more and more veterinarians sign up for training and add it to their practice.
Dr. Carley believes that veterinary acupuncture can play a very important role in healing. He can customize a treatment plan for your pet that combines both Eastern and Western medicines in a way that works best for both you and your pet. He was certified in veterinary acupuncture in 1994 by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and has been utilizing it at Hunters Glen ever since.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Dr. Carley believes that herbal medicine can greatly benefit a pet’s health and well-being when used properly. He can customize a treatment plan for your pet that combines both Eastern and Western medicines in a way that works best for both you and your pet. He received his training and certification in herbology in 2002 from the International Acupuncture Institute and has been utilizing herbal medicine in his treatment plans ever since.
To get started, schedule a consult with Dr. Carley. This appointment lasts for between a half hour and an hour depending on the circumstances and includes gathering a very thorough and specific history about your pet and its health conditions.
Boarding
Boarding with Hunters Glen is your pet’s home away from home.
Our facilities are clean, climate-controlled, and have well-trained staff members that take excellent care of our boarding patients.
We have large runs that easily accommodate dogs of any size. They are easily cleaned and sterilized, ensuring a clean environment for your pet.
In addition, we have a cat room where our feline boarders can spend time outside of their kennel every day and can enjoy some sunbathing or bird watching out the window.
If your pet needs medications while boarding, we may prescribe those. Administration of any daily medications is a breeze for our technicians and staff. You can enjoy peace of mind while your pet stays with us.
